Bee Fayre in New Milton

A great turnout despite the damp start to the day. New Forest Beekeepers are part of the Conservation Connection Group which brings together likeminded groups across the forest to promote Pollinators and to share ideas and projects. There were plenty of stands to visit displaying all the local groups from Young Farmers to the Bee Keepers, and of course not missing out the great Bee Fancy Dress competition!

On the day we had our Bee Team hosting the stand, complete with the observation hive which is always a crowd pleaser, Asian hornet posters and samples to look at, honey for sale as well as wax and candles. The team did a great job setting up in the rain, and the afternoon turned out to be a great opportunity to chat to other members who popped down to visit and to make new friends.

The honey was a sell out!!! So if any members wish to sell honey at future events, get in touch with Warwick on  and we can get your products on the stand.

Massive thanks to the Bee Team  – Warwick Newson, Alla & Dave Neal, and Marcus Collings, for getting everything ready and lovely, and manning the fort all day. If you want to help at the next event do get in touch.

If you have any events coming up and would like the NFDBKA to come along too, then do drop us a line and we will come along. Our next event is on 2nd October at the Lymington Eco Fair.
